Question:What are your secrets in generating traffic and conversion?
Q: What do you do?
Answer:
We work with small to medium sized businesses to help increase their revenue through online methods.
We believe that there are 5 stages in the process.
- Generate traffic make people come to your website.
- Once they come to your website, convert them into leads.
- Then nurture the leads so that they trust you.
- When they’re ready they’ll become your customer.
- When you service them with extraordinary value, they will become your advocates – your unpaid salespeople called the affiliates.
We work on all the areas involved in these 5 steps from for example
- Building the website,
- Copywriting,
- Optimizing the website for conversion,
- Testing to ensure that your conversions increase,
- Reading Google analytics to understand what is happening behind the scenes,
- Test find out which one works better,
- Writing newsletters,
- Writing special reports,
- Writing articles,
- Increasing your ranking for search keywords,
- Working with Google Adwords, Bing, Facebook and
- Social media such as Twitter etc
- Creating videos
- so it’s pretty much everything involved in the process is what we cover.
Q: I have worked with some SEO consultants and I burnt my fingers. How do I trust any SEO consultant?
Answer:
Unfortunately, like in any industry, you’ve got good operators and bad operators.
- Check references/testimonials
- Ask for guarantees. Even if they don’t promise to get you to the top of the search engine results page for the chosen keyword, at least will they sit with you and agree to set up some meaningful KPIs and guarantee to refund the money if you are not happy. Beware the tasks such as “we’ll build 125 back links a month” is that not useful because many of the backlinks die very soon.
- See how much they are able to educate you on what is important for SEO or online marketing for YOUR business, without really trying to sell you something.
- If they pass your tests, give a smaller task to see if they produce the results they promise. Nothing but the results should determine who to trust. Don’t go by the pricing alone because pricing is not a good indicator.
Q: How many keywords do you optimize our website for? Do you charge by the keyword?
Answer:
We don’t charge by the keyword.
We believe in the 80-20 principle. To apply that for the keywords, 80% of your traffic comes from 20% of your keywords. What we need to do is find out what that 20% is and focus on them.
We are aware that there is a school of thought that says something like this “If you don’t optimize for 1500 keywords then you’re leaving the money on the table”. We disagree. Google is smart enough to understand what the visitor is searching for when they put in a specific keyword so they will show the related items as well. However, if you read your analytics closely you will find 80% of your traffic comes from 20% of your keywords. We optimise for 20% of the keywords that are absolutely essential for your website.
Q: Can I (or my sister or my uncle or my brother in law etc) do part of the work that you do and you do the rest so that the charges will be less?
Answer:
No. The charges may not go down. In fact, if you do some work and we do some other part of the work, there’ll be more chaos and more conflicts. We have worked with companies that wanted to do part of the work by themselves and it never works so we don’t do that.
Q: I just need Google Analytics or Google Adwords, or a Facebook page setup as a one off job, I don’t want anything else, can you do that?
Answer:
Probably not. We are interested in having a customer for a long term, we are not looking to generate a sale but interested in keeping a relationship with the customer. Both the customer and us put in a lot of effort in the relationship when we do a job and we want to see the relationship grow.
Q: I’m not sure if I have the right marketing plan or right marketing strategy, can you help me?
Answer:
Yes, as part of our working together, we get into all the areas of marketing and provide additional value to you by helping you identify the right way to market so that you spend the least amount of money and get the most amount of return.
Q: Do you do only internet marketing?
Answer:
We do marketing in general and internet marketing is one method. Nowadays they talk about online marketing and offline marketing as if they’re all different, but the consumer/prospect, reads or consumes both online as well as offline material it is important that both are combined and are made to work together to give you the maximum benefit for your marketing dollars.
Q: Who does my work?
Answer:
We have a team of experienced people that will do the work.
Q: Can I sit next to the person who’s doing my work so I can see that they’re doing the work?
Answer:
No. We believe in producing results and we expect you to measure us by the results and not by the process. It is very uncomfortable to work when someone is looking over their shoulder.
Q: Can you provide training for a person in my organization so that they can do the work?
Answer:
No, we do not provide one on one training at this stage.
Q: What will happen once I become a customer?
Answer:
Once you become a customer, you’ll have an account manager and a project will be created. In the first month, in some cases first 2 months, there will be a lot of activity – a lot of phone calls, emails etc to make sure that everything is set up correctly and everything is working well. Then from the third month onwards if you need any assistance you can either call us or you create a ticket in your system so that one of our staff takes action.
Q: How much do you charge?
Answer:
We charge a fixed fee for your traffic generation and lead conversion. On the other hand, if you need a website revised or changed or a new one built then it’ll be charged extra. There are different prices to do a newsletter, conversion optimization etc.
However, roughly you should have a budget of about $800 per month. We assure you that we aim to give you twice the value for the fees that we earn. The value is not in our eyes but in your eyes.
Q: How do we pay you?
Answer:
The payment is collected in advance, for the monthly work, via direct debit. We neither have resources nor the time to chase for payments. With the exceptional value that we provide to our customers, we expect our customers to look after us by paying promptly. They are all busy people and may not remember these details. So, we ask that the monthly payments go through via direct debit.
Q: What’s the catch in the free consultation? There’s always a catch, you can tell me, I’m a marketer.
Answer:
It is very hard to see the quality of a service because it’s intangible.
We want our prospective customers to taste the service through our Free one on one phone consultation. Our hope is that if they like the value we give them in that one hour then they’ll become our customer.
This is also an opportunity for them to evaluate if we know what we’re talking about, if we can do the work. It is an opportunity for us to evaluate the prospect to see if we can both work together or not.
Q: What is special about you?
Answer:
- We are a results-focused company
- We don’t tie our customers into an agreement because we believe that if we provide exceptional value they will stay and they should stay because they want to stay with us, not because we force them to stay with us.
- We are confident about our service so we give 100% money back on all our services so what that means is since there’s month by month contract and if a customer is unhappy at any time, we give the money back. We try to fix it, if they’re not happy, we give the money back.
- We provide great value to our customers, that’s why every single customer that we have loves us the same way we love them because they know that everything that we do is with the goal to increase or help increase their revenue.
Q: If you don’t want me to do part of the job that you do, what would you expect me to do when you’re creating the leads for us?
Answer:
- We would like you to create quality content
- We would like you to provide the approvals as needed or we would like you to be available for the meetings and provide feedback in a timely manner.
Q: Do we get any reports when we become your customer? What kind?
Answer:
We do provide regular reports every week on the status of your keywords and what your ranking is for those keywords. At the end of the month you get a report on how your site looks in terms of traffic and conversion.
Q: Do you work with business to consumer or business to business market?
Answer:
We work with both types. We have customers in both categories.
Q: Do you NOT work with some types of businesses?
Answer:
We prefer not to work with businesses that are affiliates of a product or service. We don’t work for Adult and Gambling businesses/sites.
Q: What type of customers do you prefer to work with? Can you explain a bit?
Answer:
- Customers that have been in business for a while – i.e. not start-ups, generally.
- Customers that are hungry for new customers and increase the sales with existing customers – e.g. they will follow up on the leads and actively convert them to customers. If increasing the income through sales is not a priority, we can’t add much value to that company and therefore it gets frustrating for both parties.
- Customers that are willing to work with us as a team – we need feedback on how many leads they converted, what is working/not working, what other marketing (including PR) activities are being done so that we can ensure all of them are working in concert. Some prefer to keep the work by others (PR agency or internal staff) separate and don’t like disclosing that to us. If we work as partners we need that visibility. We work only as a Partner and not as a vendor/supplier.
- Customers that are open to new methods of working – if what is currently being done (in lead generation, marketing or sales) not helping increase sales then we need to try different methods.
- Customers that are willing to measure us by results – i.e. we prefer customers that do not ask an update every other day (we do send out weekly reports on keyword ranking, back-links etc) or those that don’t ask to sit next to our staff to see if (or how) they are working but are willing to see if their marketing or business is improve as a result of our work.
Q: What are your secrets in generating traffic and conversion?
Answer:
Firstly, we don’t believe that there are a lot of secrets, anybody can learn them if they’ve got the time to learn them and dedicate themselves to learn
For generating traffic, we just follow submissions to various search engines, directories, articles, videos etc; do an onside optimisation and keep working diligently and making sure every other day checking the status of the keywords and whether the links that we create are working etc, and that’s how we achieve great ranking for the chosen keywords for our customers.
Great online marketers know what the current best practices are, so do we. We use the best practices. However, what works in one situation doesn’t work in another situation, even if it is a best practice. What works for one website may not work in another website so we do a lot of tests, read the analytics to understand what the test is telling us and then keep improving it.
"Thank you for the informative consulting. I appreciate your openness in sharing. The session is very valuable in understanding what we need to do to meet our sales targets and improve customer interaction. You've given me so much to think about, I now have to assimilate the information."

"After I requested for a Free consultation, I had a 5 minute call with Mani. He asked me a few questions about my business. Next day we had the consultation. The amount of information he has gathered about my industry and my competitors, in a day, is remarkable. He laid out all the issues that he found with my business and marketing in one simple mind-map - I was not even aware of some of the issues myself. It was great to see the business analysed from various perspectives/angles.
I've been on 'free consultations' in the past with online marketing consultants and typically they talk about themselves, about their services and their prices. Then they tend to give a contract for me to sign. However, it was refreshing that after a brief introduction about OnlineSalesLeads during the consultation, Mani didn't talk about their services but instead focussed solely on my business problems. Then he offered concrete and practical recommendations. He didn't try to sell anything - in fact I had to ask him if he could help me with my marketing issues.
I am quite happy that he is honest and that he is a one-stop-shop for us - he is able to assist us in all areas of our marketing and business efforts - not just SEO, not just online marketing but all the areas.
I strongly recommend anyone to take advantage of this free consultation to get an insight into their own business."

Mani once refused to take the fee for the month because he said they didn't do all the planned work for that month. While I admired his integrity and authenticity, I insisted that he took the payment since the delay was from my office manager. With Mani, the 100% money back guarantee is not just a phrase. He means it.
I am very happy to be working with OnlineSalesLeads. They continue to improve my marketing.

I am most impressed by your consultation. You are very honest about what I can and should do to grow my business. I am known to have zero tolerance for BS and your advice and insights are absolutely spot on.
While I am going to be your client soon, I liked the fact you never tried to sell anything to me during the consultation. Bravo! I'd recommend you to any business.
